About the Role
As a Senior Bookkeeper, you'll become a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, providing end-to-end bookkeeping support and building strong relationships with business owners. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a client-facing environment and has experience managing multiple clients within a public practice accounting firm.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a portfolio of business clients, providing end-to-end bookkeeping services across a range of industries
  • Processing payroll, payroll tax, BAS, IAS, superannuation, bank reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable
  • Preparing management reports, maintaining general ledgers and ensuring financial records remain accurate and compliant
  • Liaising directly with clients, attending client offices where required and building long-term professional relationships
  • Working closely with the Business Services team to deliver high-quality financial support while assisting with process improvements and client outcomes

Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous bookkeeping experience within a public practice accounting firm is essential
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple client portfolios and competing priorities
  • Strong experience processing payroll, payroll tax, BAS, IAS and other bookkeeping functions
  • Experience using Xero is essential, with FYI experience highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, client-focused approach and exceptional attention to detail
